GREG CURDA (Supervising Sound Mixer) — Sound Mixer Greg Curda’s more than thirty years in the film industry has yielded vast credits that include Indecent Proposal (1993) and The Godfather: Part III (1990). He began his career in 1973 as an Assistant Sound Editor of the award-winning television series Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom . In 1980 he joined the Disney Studios in Los Angeles and quickly advanced to the position of Sound Mixer in both Production and Post-Production, working on television shows such as the 1985 Mac Guyver and features such as Good Morning, Vietnam (1987).
Curda moved to Paramount Pictures in 1988 to concentrate primarily on Foley Sound Effects. As a result, the team received twelve Golden Reel nominations; four Academy Award nominations; and, one Academy Award for the 1990 film adaptation of the Tom Clancy novel, The Hunt for Red October.
